The first set of pictures are from St. Heliers. The first place we went after the airport and where we eventually ended up settling in for a home. This is a quiet town with a beautiful beach and shops.
These are of our temporary apartment. We spent most of our two weeks driving around the area becoming familiar, looking for a home and swimming. The kids also cooked a few nights.
This is Devonport. This is the first place we went and visited. I really wanted to find a home here because it's absolutely gorgeous. Mike would have to take a ferry ride over to work or sit in traffic over the bridge. I am thinking though that this might be a great place for my B&B.
From there we went to the fort that was built to protect Auckland during both World Wars. It was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved going through all of the tunnels and walking around.
Ok, well, I can only post a few pictures of the fort. I guess I have met my quota. I will post more tomorrow.
